We visit three restaurants in
Conway, which is 15 miles west of
Myrtle Beach and is the
Horry
County seat. Settled in the early 18th century, the town is known for enormous ancient live oak trees, its location beside the
Waccamaw
River and a lovely preserved downtown historic district.
First stop: Ocean Fish Market, which has been in business beside the river for 60 years. You'll sample the specialty of the house - a Spot Sandwich on white bread - and learn how to shuck oysters.
Third stop: Crady's Restaurant, where the gourmet delights will change with each tour. It might be savory or sweet.
Last stop: Tell us what type of food and price range you'd like, and we'll make it happen!
Time offered:
2-4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Two days' notice required.
Group sizes: 20-50
